The Race Between Races

There's nothing sweeter than victory, but once the confetti falls and the champagne showers end - the clock is ticking. 'The Race Between Races' -- created by Farm League and directed by David Findlay in partnership with Dropbox -- is an immersive film diving into the world of constant innovation, collaboration and teamwork that takes a Formula 1 team to the top of the podium.

It's no secret McLaren F1 have been on a heater since Farm League dropped in during race week of the 2024 Miami GP. The team has secured several podium finishes this year, including landmark victories for drivers Lando Norris & Oscar Piastri as McLaren sits atop the leaderboard with its sights set on its first team championship since 1998. 

Farm League was brought into the fold early on in the process to work with Dropbox on how to articulate the narrative thread that weaves together the intricacies of the McLaren F1 team, taking the viewer beyond the pageantry of race day and into their unseen world. 

The film seeks to answer the question - what is the race between races? From the checkered flag to lights out, there's just one week that separates the team and drivers from the next race. That means each day is critical and every member plays a vital role in setting the team up for success. By interviewing key figures at McLaren such as CEO Zak Brown, COO Piers Thynne, Director of Racing Randeep Singh, drivers Lando Norris & Oscar Piastri, and more, the process begins to unfold and we see firsthand the coordinated symphony behind McLaren.
